Polypropylene brushes have the best flick and are used for effectively sweeping asphalt, clay, gravel, light powdery snow, sand, and other road debris. They are not causing undue stress to asphalt on runways or other sensitive surfaces.
Flat brushes are designed to be placed on opposite ends of the broom or to fill space as needed. They can be also used along the whole broom, but in this case spacers need to be placed between rings.
