Adare Machinery recently delivered the first Doosan DL550-5 Wheel Loader to be sold in Ireland. With an operating weight of almost 33 tonnes and with a build quality that is second to none, the loader has a DC13 Scania Engine. This produces an incredible 385 HP which has a huge bearing on the performance of the shovel, and it is the loader’s performance, that really sets it apart.
Doosan has also utilized a five-speed ZF transmission complete with a torque lock up. The lock up is regarded as being one of the most positive features in the loader. Its premise is simple – by directly linking the engine to the transmission, no torque loss is experienced even during the most stressful climbing operation therefore greatly improving cycle times.
As the productivity of any Wheel Loader is directly linked to the operators’ performance, it is why Doosan has placed comfort at the very centre of its design priorities. The loader is designed around the new Grammer Actimo XXL seat. This seat is recommended by orthopaedic specialists as it is vertically and horizontally air suspended.
